Kai - A former Shaolin monk who seeks enlightenment.He returns to fight on the side of evil in Armageddon. Jarek - A former Black Dragon member who was almost killed by Jax, he seeks to kill everyone.Fujin - A wind god who seeks to turn Raiden and Liu Kang back to normal.Chameleon - A mysterious warrior who has been spying on the events from Liu Kang's first victory to the return of the Dragon King.The Official Wallpaper for Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, showing all characters, except Daegon, Taven, and Khameleon. During his lifetime, he located and killed his parents and founded the Red Dragon clan, using his dragon to create portals between the realms. He awoke prematurely centuries before his brother, causing his unbalanced nature, and began plans to ensure that he would be the one to defeat Blaze when the time came. Daegon - Taven's evil younger brother.Taven - The hero of Mortal Kombat Armageddon's Konquest Mode and brother to Daegon, who serves as Daegon's rival in the quest to defeat Blaze.With Mortal Kombat 11 revealing the existence of multiple timelines outside of just the original and the one created by MK2011, it is possible that both conclusions to Armageddon's story are canonical in different timelines, though has not been directly confirmed. The next game in the series, only known as Mortal Kombat, would begin with the aftermath of Mortal Kombat: Armageddon, and retcon events so that nearly every kombatant met their demise, with the exception of Raiden and Shao Kahn(With Kahn having won the battle instead of Taven), before shifting into an alternate timeline caused by Raiden sending a message to himself during the time of the first Mortal Kombat tournament, shortly before his own death at the hands of Shao Kahn. Originally, the game's main character Taven was the one who defeated Blaze, the excess energy from the firespawn's death having an unexpected effect on the kombatants present. This was the final battle for Mortal Kombat, the battle that determined the fate of the realms. This would be the warriors' last battle, their last chance to prove that they are worthy of surviving, while many others will perish. The firespawn was created by the Elder Gods to destroy as many fighters as possible in order to save the realms from Armageddon.
The kombatants fought one another to get to the top, while Blaze revealed himself to them. Without warning, a pyramid rises from the ground, and the tip bursts into flames, attracting the warriors' curiosity to see what it was. These warriors clashed in a single battle royale that threatened to rip apart reality and bring about the apocalypse. The warriors' powers threaten to utterly destroy the fabric of the MK universe. Throughout the Mortal Kombat universe, the kombatants of the realms were growing too strong and numerous for the realms to handle.
